US Congressman. He was admitted to the bar in 1979, commenced the practice of law and was an attorney with Internal Revenue Service. In 1991, he was elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Second Congress and to the two succeeding Congresses, serving until 1997. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he resumed his legal practice. He died in an all-terrain vehicle accident in Little Sahara Recreation Area, Juab County, Utah.
