Harley Timberlake, 88, Corydon, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Harrison Health & Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.

Born July 27, 1921, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Robert D. and Leona Engleman Timberlake.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, retired from Keller Manufacturing Co. in Corydon and a member of Old Capitol VFW Post 2950 in Corydon.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Anna Louise Wiseman; two brothers, Herschel and Cecil Timberlake; a grandson, Jason Wallot; and a step-grandson, Josh Long.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen LaHue and Teresa Long, both of Corydon; two sisters, Ruth Lopp of Mauckport and Fern Johanson of Roseville, Minn.; a grandson; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 17, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home.

Funeral: Thursday, Sept. 17, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial gifts to Old Capitol United Methodist Church or VFW Post 2950, both in Corydon.
