MARY LOU BOSWELL was born March 8, 1928, in Turin, Iowa. She was one of nine children born to Ernest and Myrtle (Bowman) Davis. She passed away Friday, December 8, 2006, at the Oakland Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Nebraska, at the age of 78 years.

Mary and her family lived in the Decatur area and many attended the Decatur school.

Mary married Wesley McCluskey on June 8, 1946. They had four children and lived in the Bertha area for many years before moving to Lyons. Wes worked for the County and Mary worked at the Lyons Bakery.

Mary attended the Assembly of God Church in Lyons She was involved in WM's, helped clean the church, prepared communion and taught Sunday School. Following the death of her husband, Wes, Mary worked for Region 4 and was active in the community.

On January 11, 1999, Mary married Ron Boswell. They resided for a time in Fremont, working at the homeless shelter before returning to Lyons.

Mary loved the Lord. She read the Bible through several times and prayed for the people she loved. Mary also enjoyed needle work, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Wesley; brothers, Lenton, Kelly, Pete and Kenny; sisters, Iva, Lois, Ag; son-in-law, Denny Hightree.

Survivors include her husband: Ronald of Lyons; daughter: Gloria Hightree of Omaha, Nebraska; sons and daughters-in-law: Jim and Ruth Ann McCluskey of Burns, Wyoming, Tim and Alisa McCluskey of Decatur, Nebraska, Randy and Nicole McCluskey of Tekamah, Nebraska; sister: Ruth Ashing of Lincoln, Nebraska; stepdaughter and son-in-law: Julie and Lynn Eager of Lincoln, Nebraska; stepsons and daughters-in-law: Rodney Boswell of West Point, Nebraska, Bill and Trish Boswell of York, Nebraska, John and Sandy Boswell of Genoa, Nebraska, Chris Boswell of Lyons; stepdaughter: Stephanie Boswell of Omaha, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great -great grandchild; nineteen step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; many nieces nephews and a host of friends.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, December 12, 2006, 2:30 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, Lyons, Nebraska

BURIAL: Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, Nebraska.

VISITATION: Monday 1- 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 – 7 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Services Lyons Chapel. Visitation will also be held Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the service.

MEMORIALS: Lyons Public Library

Following the graveside committal, lunch will be served at the Assembly of God in Lyons.
