Harold Clayton Olson registered for the draft October 16, 1940. He was inducted into the Army March 23, 1943 at San Francisco, California and joined Company G, 320th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division from the 92nd Replacement Battalion July 24, 1944 when the Regiment was about 3 miles east of St Lo, France. PFC Harold C. Olson was originally reported missing September 14, 1944 in the vicinity of Hudivillier, southeast of Nancy, France and was later confirmed killed in action on that date.
