Services for Oliver M. Wallop, 74, will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
Wallop was the father of U.S. Sen. Malcolm Wallop, R-Wyo.
He died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Big Horn, the son of Oliver H. and Marguerite Wallop.
He was a Yale University graduate.
In 1943, his first wife, Jean Moore, died. He later married Caroline Towel, who died in 1973.
Wallop was a rancher and cattle breeder. He was past president of Wyoming Hereford Assn. and director of American Hereford Assn. He was a lifelong promoter of 4-H and founded the Wallop 4-H Scholarship fund. A pioneer aviator, he helped develop air service in Wyoming. He had served as state finance chairman for the Republican Party. He was director of the First National Bank of Sheridan; past president of the Elks Club, founder of the Big Horn Fire Dept.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Margaret Porchester, London, England; Caroline Walker Anderson, Birney Mont.; two sons, John Wallop, Santa Barbara, Calif.; and U.S. Sen. Malcolm Wallop, Sheridan; one brother, Gerard Wallop, London, England, and 15 grandchildren.
Burial will be in Municipal Cemetery with Champion Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
