Stone was broken years ago most likely by a farm mower/tractor so no stone now exists at Barker-Miner Cemetery per family info.

Though I personally have no documentation to prove that William R. is the son of James "Enos" and Eleanore "Ellen" (Ralston) Rutledge, and I am not sure that documentation exists to prove it, it is a most likely scenario that they are the parents based on times and places. If someone has the documentation I would appreciate it if they would let me know.

William was a wagoner for the War of 1812 - he placed a request for Pension that war and there is a copy of handwritten letter stating his request and mentioning his younger brother, John who rode along with him.

William married Elizabeth Williams in Greenbriar, West Virginia in Jan. 26, 1816. Their children include: Richard William, Sarah, Robert G, Eleanore, George, John and Josiah.

The family moved to Fulton County, Illinois between 1832 and 1835.
