Lucia Harriett (Bergen) Dennis was the daughter of Samuel and Mariette (Bosley) Bergen. She was the wife of Rev. Joseph Dennis. They were married Mount Morris, New York June 9, 1887. Rev. Dennis was a minister in the Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died March 5, 1929.

DENNIS, Mrs. Lucia Harriet, died March 18, 1924 at Angelica. Born at Union Corners, Livingston County, New York December 15, 1866, daughter of Samuel and Henrietta (Bosley) Bergen. Married Rev. Joseph Dennis June 9, 1887 in Mount Morris. Survivors: husband; two daughters, Miss Esther C. Dennis, Superintendent of the Josephine Goodyear Home at Williamsville, New York and Mrs. A. J. Kelsch of Williamsville, New York; two sisters, Mrs. E. R. Creveling of Mount Morris, Mrs. A. C. Dalrymaple of Rochester, New York and brother, John Bergen of El Paso, Texas. Buried in Angelica Cemetery.
