Mildred Lee Corbett was born August 28, 1904, in Norman, Oklahoma. She lived in Norman all her life. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma and taught English at Norman High School for 35 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Other memberships include the Cleveland County Historical Society, the Norman Regional Hospital Axillary Board, the Retired Teachers Association, the Junior League, and the Phi Beta Phi alumni.

She died Sunday, June 22, 1986. Survivors include her husband, Jim L. Corbett of the home; a daughter, Peggy Cast of League City, Texas; a sister, Mrs. T.R. Benedum of Norman, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Bearers will be Jim Agar, George Nolan, Raymond Symcox, Horton Grisso, T.J. Kennedy, and Bob Sayre. Burial will be Wednesday, June 25, 1986 in the Primrose Chapel with Dr. Mike Bumgarner officiating. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery.
