Mrs. Ellen Murray Bailey, wife of former Senator Joseph Weldon Bailey was buried in Fairview Cemetery here Saturday afternoon, following services conducted by the Rev. J.B. Gober of Greenville, long-time friend of the family.

The body arrived here shortly after noon on a special train, proceeding directly to the cemetery. Forty-five friends of the family accompanied Mr. Bailey and his sons, Joseph W. and Weldon Bailey, here from Dallas, traveling in the private car of J.L. Lancaster, president of the Texas & Pacific Railroad Company.

Mr. and Mrs. Bailey resided in Gainesville for many years before going to Dallas in 1920, and hundreds of local friends attended the final services here.
