Arietta C. Logerman, 97, of Columbus died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.

Mrs. Logerman worked as a bookkeeper at Stadler Packing Co. for many years. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Bartholomew County Senior Center and CSA Ladies at the Senior Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Hathaway-Myers Dignity Memorial Chapel on Pearl Street with the Rev. Bryan Soloman officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of South Central Indiana or the donor's choice of charities.

Born in Harper County, Okla., April 3, 1910, Mrs. Logerman was the daughter of Charles and Nellie Mobley Collins.

She married Edward Logerman on April 11, 1927, in Buffalo, Okla.

Survivors include daughters, Betty Jordan of Columbus and Donna (Robert) Wampler of Columbus; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 1, 1971; a brother, Ray Collins; and sisters, Faye Douglas and Dorothy Joseph.
