Elberta O. McFadden, 89, of Taylor Road died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Four Seasons Health Care Center.

She formerly owned and operated Garden City Flower and Gift Shop and also owned and operated rental property.

She was a member of First Christian Church, the former Exchangettes Club, PEO, Zonta Club and Business and Professional Women, where she was a past state president.

She was a graduate of Franklin College.

Memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Jan. 21 at Barkes, Inlow & and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. David Burnett officiating. Calling will be from 9 a.m. until service time Jan. 21. Private graveside service was conducted at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation for research.

Born in Columbus March 27, 1910, Mrs. McFadden was the daughter of William Curtis and Gertrude Lapsley Robertson. She married Buryl L. McFadden Feb. 18, 1933. He died Aug. 13, 1973.

She is survived by a son, Buryl L. McFadden Jr. of Dayton, Ohio; granddaughters, Sally Jo Brown of Logan, Utah, and Cynthia Ann Svetska of Chicago; and four great-grandchildren.
