Mrs. Cubbedge Dies, Was 100; Rites Tuesday --
Mrs. Laura I. Cubbedge, 100, 58 Fullerwood Drive, died Saturday at her home. A native and lifelong resident of St. Johns County, as a young girl, Mrs. Cubbedge taught school, grades one through six, at Cartersville, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the chapel of the Craig Funeral Home, with the Rev. Grover C. Henley, pastor of Oak Harbor Baptist Church, Atlantic Beach, officiating. Burial will be in Pellicer Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Craig chapel from 4:30 p.m. today.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. LaVerne Sheets, St. Augustine, Mrs. Lyndall Hubbard, DeLand; four sons, C. W. And H. A. Morrison, both of Jacksonville, K. F. Morrison and B. C. Cubbedge, both of St. Augustine; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Pickett, Jacksonville, Mrs. Mabel Bayless, Melrose, Mrs. Ella Marrow, Pinetta; 18 grandchildren, 41 greatgrandchildren, 12 great-greatgrandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Craig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
