Harold was the 1st cousin of my grandfather, Frederick Arthur "Art" Hoy. I've had the pleasure of meeting several of Harold's descendants via the Internet. It seems to me that Harold's career in Chicago may have been influenced by his uncle, Egbert B. Hoy. Records show that after his arrival in Chicago, Harold worked in the printing department of a cardboard box company. Meanwhile, his uncle Egbert was the publisher of the magazine, "American Box Maker", a trade magazine for cardboard box producers. Later, Harold became the chief salesman for "Snips" magazine, a trade publication for the sheet metal industry which is still in publication. He retired from "Snips" in 1965. He and Florence had 3 sons, the last of whom died in 2007. They have been in contact with descendants of all three.
