He married Tima Mae Lockhart on 7 June 1925, in Jasper AL. They had one son, Marion Perry Denson, born May 9, 1926 in Jasper AL. He contracted tuberculosis and died in a sanitorium at Black Mountain NC. His wife and son are now both deceased and are buried in Jasper AL.
