Howard Phillip Denson was the youngest of eight children born to Seaborn Ivy Denson and Dovie Susannah (Whitman) Denson. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the area around where he lived. He served in the U.S. Army as a cook in the last year of WWII (1945) and was stationed in the Phillipines. He married Millardean Morton of Helicon (Winston County) AL on 15 May 1949. He farmed in the Helicon AL area for a number of years, raising cotton, corn, and livestock (pigs) and also worked at a mobile home manufacturing plant in Addison AL before retiring around 1990. He died of heart faliure at Woodland Hospital, Cullman AL.
