Bessie George was born on 25 July 1896 in Camden County, Missouri to William Logan & Malisie Ann Kuykendall George. Bessie was the second child and first daughter of twelve children. Shortly after Bessie was born the family moved to Yellow Bird Hollow, Delaware County, Oklahoma. She married Willard Thomas Robertson 14 September 1918 in Jay, Delaware County, Oklahoma. To this union three children were born Marshall Willard, Virgie Lee, and Vivian Lorane.
