Mr. Rush was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793 of Waynesburg.
Mr. Rush worked for several garages as an auto mechanic, retiring in 1978.
Surviving are his wife, Cecyle Brewer Rush, whom he married Saturday, March 24, 1945; a brother, Raymond Rush of Carmichaels; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Viola Gay, and two brothers, Thomas Rush and Sam Rush.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, with the Rev. Joseph Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
