He was born to Elva and Cassie (Bateman) Lawson. On Aug. 5, 1940, he married Regina Lutkenhaus in Waurika, Okla. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathlic Church in Gainesville. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army. He was retired, with more than 35 years with Burk Royalty Oil Company in Cooke County.
Survivors include his wife, 2 sons, 2 daughters, 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother and sister-in-law.
