Little Franice Lesley Griner dies at
Home of Parents June 20, 1917
of Diphtheria
Word comes to Villisca relatives and friends of the death of Little Franics Lesley Griner, the three-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Griner. The death occurred Wednesday of last week at the family home in Murdo and was caused by a sickness of only a few days from diphtheria. He had been sick three days when death came.
Franics Lesley Griner was born in Villisca, Iowa, September 6, 1914, and died June 20, 1917, at Murdo. He was two years, nine months and fourteen days of age at the time of his death.
Besides his parents, the deceased leaves four brothers and three sisters to mourn his loss. The brothers are: Lars, Harry, Charles and William Griner. The sisters are; Selma and Gertrude Griner and Mrs. Grant King.
The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 at the homes of the parents in Murdo. Rev. Tucker of that city had charge of the services. Only Mr. and Mrs. Grant King and two brothers, Harry and Charles, were permitted to go to the cemetery in Murdo, where the body was interred.
