Mrs. Edith Pennington Treat was the daughter of MG Alexander C. M. Pennington and Clara French Pennington. She was the wife of the late MG Charles Gould Treat and mother of Godfrey Macdonald. Her first husband was Lt. Col. Godfrey Harrison Macdonald, who died in 1918. A former resident of Washington D. C., she resided in Norwalk for many years and maintained a summer home in Hyannisport, Mass. Private services were held in Winter Park, Florida with burial in Arlington Cemetery, Washington.
