Ellis -- Michael Vincent Billinger, 100, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at the Ellis Good Samaritan Center. He was born Jan. 21, 1900, in Victoria to Peter Andreas and Mariann (Schreiner) Billinger.

He married Barbara Richmeier on Oct. 11, 1921, in St. Peter. She died July 18, 1995. He was a farmer. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Peter.

Survivors include three sons, Adolph, Zurich, Pete, Omaha, Neb., and John, Hill City; nine daughters, Bridget Mann, Arvada, Colo., Caroline Wittman, Topeka, Lucine Horak, Aurora, Colo., Barbara Rome, Aurora, MaryAnn Rome, Golden, Colo., Agnes Rome, Littleton, Colo., Dorothy Fagan, Spring Hill, Fla., Shirley Kuppetz, Ellis, and Elaine Knoll, Elizabeth, Colo.; 41 grandchildren; 89 great-grandchildren; and 61 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Louis Billinger, a daughter, Clara Herman, a brother, and a sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Peter, with the Revs. Don Pfannenstiel and Jim Billinger officiating; burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, St. Peter. A vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the Spencer Chapel, Hill City, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Ellis Good Samaritan Center or Masses.
