Rev. Ancil Daniel Mills, Jr. was the son of Ancil Daniel and Amanda M. (Taylor) Mills, Sr. He was the husband of Eliza Adelaide "Lida" (Sims) Mills. They were married September 13, 1888. Lida died April 1943. Rev. Mills was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference 1887 F 1889. He was ordained Deacon at First Methodist Episcopal Church, Lockport, New York on October 6, 1889 by Rev. Bishop James Newbury Fitzgerald - ordained Elder at Bath Methodist Episcopal Church, Bath, New York on October 8, 1899 by Rev. Bishop Stephen Mason Merrill. He was located by his own request for health reasons in 1902.
