Dr. Dale was born in Iowa, May 17, 1884 and has served as pastor of various Baptist Churchs in southeast Missouri for the past 30 years. He was pastor of the Red Star Church in Cape Girardeau for seven years and of the Bernie Baptist church for eight years. From Bernie he moved to Portageville in 1930 and was pastor there for three years. He came to Caruthersville in 1934 and since that time practiced as a chiropractor in this city. He had been a chiropractor for the past 22 years.
Having been in ill health since 1938, he had been confined to his home for the past three months.
Dr. Dale was a graduate of the Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Maud Richards, to whom he was married in 1906 and eight children survive: Mrs. Buford Crawford of Cape Girardeau, Alfred Dale, Dexter, Oliver Dale, Portageville, Mrs. Columbus Rone, Portageville, Mrs. Clifford Kirby, Hayti, John and Henry Dale of the home; and Homer Dale, a member of the local national guard unit which is stationed at Camp Robinson near Little Rock, Ark. He is also survived by one brother, Henry Dale of Marston and a sister, Mrs. W.W. Hill of Hereford, Texas.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Baptist Church by the Rev. D.K. Foster.
