1921-2009

Manon Box, age 87 of Pensacola, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009.

She was a native of Tennessee and had resided in Pensacola for the past 54 years.

She was a member of Scenic Heights Baptist Church and was also a member of the Homebound Ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace. She will be remembered as a sales clerk at Moulton's Drug Store for many years.

Mrs. Box was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt F. Box, Sr., parents, Charlie and Ethel Roberson; and two sisters, Helen Yeargin and Jean Lannom.

Survivors include her four children, Hoyt F. Box, Jr. (Judy), Donnie Box (Karen), Teresa Kirkland (Van), and Charles Box (Marissa); 11 grandchildren: Delinda Summers (Gregg), Rebecca Box, Beth Koehler (Zach), Julie Box, Kari Franklin (Jay), Casey Box, Christina & Amanda Kirkland; David, Michael & Jonathan Box; nine great grandchildren, Savannah & Conley Summers, Makayla & Olivia Waits, Gabriel & Donavyn Koehler, Jenna Box, Blakeley & C. J. Franklin; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy with Pastor Joe Gwyn officiating.

Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice or the charity of your choice.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff of Heritage Court at The Haven of Our Lady of Peace and Covenant Hospice for the special care given our beloved mother.
