Alvena Lynn Spears Gauer

Alvena Lynn Speers Gauer, 61, of Hot Springs went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2009 in a local hospital.
She was born February 24, 1948 to Mayme Spears and the late Wallace Alvin Spears in Fontana, CA.
Alvena was a nurse for 25 years. She was currently working at National Park Medical Center in the scheduling office. She had previously worked on Med-Surg at National Park Medical Center where she enjoyed caring for everyone that came into her life. Alvena was a member at Twin Lakes Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Harold D. Gauer and her father.
Survivors include her mother Mayme Spears of Glendale, Arizona; son, Kenneth Gauer and wife Carrie of Malvern; son, Justin Blair of Hot Springs; daughter Mayme Brown and husband Ron of Donaldson, Arkansas; sister Monecha Painter of Glendale, Arizona; grandchildren; Joe Gauer and August Blair; several nieces and nephews; special companions Snoopette and Buster; and many special friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with service to follow at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Twin Lakes Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Coleman officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff of National Park Medical Center and Alvena's church family at Twin Lakes Baptist Church
