Musician-Singer, Songwriter and Accordionist. He was born Henry Thomas Joseph Hibbs on Bell Island, Newfoundland. He spent his youth on Bell Island and attended St. Kevin's High School, Wabana. His father, A fiddle player, Taught him to play music before his death. After his father died, He and his family moved to Toronto, Ontario Canada. He worked at various factory jobs until he became injured making it impossible for him to do manual labor, So he went to music. He was a member of Caribou Show Band, Was signed by ARC Records and recorded 26 albums of which several went gold. A few of his songs were, 'Nobody's Child', 'The Wild Rover', 'My Lovely Irish Rose', 'The Bell Island Song', 'Bell Island Boy', and many more. In 1968 he was aired in a weekly television show, 'At The Caribou' on CHCH Hamilton. He also appeared on many other television shows such as The Tommy Hunter Show, Singalong Jubilee and Don Messer's Jubilee. In 1978 he opened a nightclub 'Conception Bay' in Toronto. He was inducted into the 'Porcupine Hall of Fame' in 1993. He received many awards for his many accomplishments. His legacy and music lives on. Cause of death Cancer.
