He was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Clay County, the daughter of the late Marion and Lydia Triplett Salisbury.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Sebert, Russell, Cecil, Everett, Arthur and Scott, and sister Mare Salisbury.
She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Carcel; son, Gary Hamrick of Sutton; daughter, Connie Sue Schoonover of Clay; brother, Jack Salisbury of Holmesville, Ohio; sister, Ethel Davis of Winifrede; grandchildren, Michelle Lace, Terri Scarola, Gregory and Racheal Hamrick; four great-grandchildren.
Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Greene Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, with the Rev. Robey Godfrey officiating. Burial will be in Canfield Cemetery, Herald Route, near Sutton
