'Ratchford' WADLEY, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Julia 'Ratchford' Peterson, age 98, resident of Wadley, died Saturday morning at Jefferson Hospital in Louisville. Mrs. Peterson was a retired Elementary School Teacher. She was a member of the Wadley Baptist Church, a member of the DAR, and the Jefferson County Retired Teachers Organization. She was preceded in death by her husband: Albert Peterson; a son: Major Albert E. Peterson, Jr.; and a granddaughter: Nancy Bufort McNeely. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wadley Baptist Church, P.O. Box 759, Wadley, Ga. 30477. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Wadley Baptist Church with Reverend Tom Harrison and Reverend Rusty Manning officiating. Interment will follow in the Wadley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Davey Lamb, Charles Pollett, III, George Ratchford,V, Al Henderson, Thomas Ratchford, 'Chip' Evans, and Matt Evans. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Wadley Baptist Church, Hubert Jordan, and Don Hall. She is survived by: a daughter: Dowe P. Carter; grandchildren: Albert P. Lamb, Lt. Col. Erin Peterson, and Kristen P. Lambert.; great grandchildren: Lydia Rose, Noah Rose, Anna Elizabeth Lamb, and Clay Peterson Lamb; a daughter-in- law: Tonya Meyers.
