Olive was born in Maple Rapids, Michigan in 1918. Her parents were John Dutton and Bertha Mae Face. She spent the 1st three years of her life living with her Grandparents Hosea M and Lelia Mary (Wyman) Face in Maple Rapids. Her first years of schooling were in Maple Rapids. The family finally settled down, many years later, living in Ferndale, Michigan. Olive graduated from Lincoln High School in Ferndale in 1936. She met Gordon C. Plaxton in about 1939 at Arena Gardens roller rink in Detroit. They married on June 14, 1940 at the 1st Baptist Church of Ferndale. They have three sons. At the time of their deaths they had nine Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren. Gordon passed away in July 2008 at age 92 and Olive followed in November 2008 at age 91.
Olive loved to belong to organizations and whenever possible be the leader.
She was President of our grade school PTA for several years. She was a leader, teacher and organizer of their church BYF. She was a member of Eastern Star. She and Gordon worked and counseled at Detroit Baptist Camp in Lapeer, Michigan for many years. Both Olive and Gordon worked polling stations during elections for countless years. They were also very active in Olive's brother-in-law's campaigns for US congress.
She loved doing china and ceramic painting and did many fine pieces. She liked sewing and sewed much of her boys' clothes as they grew up. She was an A+ mom.

Her ashes were scattered by family. A cenotaph was placed in Glen Eden Memorial Cemetery in 2011.

She and Dad are greatly missed.
