"Rene" Gunn, 85, passed away July 22nd after a long illness, at the home of her daughter Debra, surrounded by all of her children. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Benjamin Franklin and Cathrine Murphy. She served in the U.S. Navy in World War II where she met and married Hayes C. Gunn from Elsinore, Utah. They raised five children in Bountiful.
She deeply loved her children and grandchildren. Rene was truly a beautiful women, inside and out. All that met her loved her.
Preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, brother ( Ben Franklin) and great grandson, Dayton Pyne.
She is survived by her children, Steven Gunn, Gary Gunn, Debra Pearson, Richard Gunn, and Laura Judd , 10 grandsons, one granddaughter and eight great grandchildren.
