Actor. Born Leslie Earnest Lye, he is best known for the numerous characters he played as one of the two adult actors on the childrens' program, "You Can't Do That On Television." He was a popular radio personality before turning to television in 1958 when he was named co-host of the talk show, "Contact." Three years later he joined CJOH-TV as a freelance writer and performer. Here he formed a partnership with Bill Luxton and they created the popular program, "Uncle Willy & Floyd," which ran for 22 years in syndication. He later co-starred on the sketch comedy show, "You Can't Do That On Television," which featured a cast comprising pre-teen and teenage actors. Lye and the only other adult actor on the show played a variety of grown-up characters in sketches. He later did voiceover work for animated programs including "Dennis the Menace," "The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin" and two "Care Bears" specials.
