Funeral services for James Thomas Green, 70, a 31-year resident of Angleton were held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 1997 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas with Jack McKinney officiating. Visitation was held from 5-9 p.m. Burial was at Woodville Cemetery in McBride, Oklahoma.
James Thomas Green was born August 18, 1927 in Ralls, Texas. He graduated from high school in Ralls, Texas January 19, 1945 and then served three years in the Army Air Force in WWII, where he received a WWII victory and an occupational medal. He was later recalled to serve one year in the Korean War in 1950.
James moved his family to Angleton in 1967 and was employed by Dow Chemical for 28 years before retiring in August 1995. He died Wednesday, August 22, 1997 at home.
