Famous iron manufacturer, known for ship machinery.

Partner in the "Morgan Iron Works".

In 1869, he founded "Quintard Iron Works". It built the machinery for the battleship "Maine", which was destroyed in 1898.

Green-Wood Cemetery

Shown in this photo are the Charles Morgan mausoleum and the associated Fannie Quintard monument.
The only exterior text on the mausoleum is the name CHARLES MORGAN.
