Sharon Rose Exley, 76, of Marion, passed away Monday evening, July 27, 2009 at her home.

She was born February 13, 1933 in Hardin County to the late Delbert and Emily (Cotner) Wolf. She married Robert Lee Exley on March 13, 1954 in Marion.

Sharon was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority; she was active in a local quilting club that met at the King's Mansion, and received best-of-show and a blue ribbon for her quilts. She stayed active as she enjoyed playing tennis with her friends and walking at the Marion Mall. Sharon also wrote the class song for Marion Harding High School when she graduated in 1951.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; three sons, Eric (Virginia) Exley of Steubenville, Ohio, Aaron (Betty) Exley of Mena, Arkansas, and Alan (Gayle) Exley of Mentor, Ohio; five grandchildren, Barbara Snyder, Matthew, Adam, Jason, and Stacy Exley; a great granddaughter, Courtney Snyder; and two sisters, Barbara Kiser of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and Molly Lu Balis of Marion.
