On the 1910 Chicago, Ward 13, Cook Co., IL census, I found Emma Hawtan, 54, husband and lawyer Henry Hawtan, 34; son and clerk Walter Hawtan, 26 and daughter Emma Hawtan, 19, all IL born.

On the 1940 Chicago Ward 37, Cook Co., IL census, I found private practice attorney, Henry A Hautan, 62, Michigan born and wife Miriam Hautan, 54, Illinois born.

I found Henry's obituary: Henry A. Hautau of 5226 W. Monroe street, beloved husband of Mirriam, nee Hewes; brother of Charles F. of Fennville, Mich., May Horn, Alwin, Emma Hersberger, and the late Walter I. Resting at funeral home, 5708 W. Madison street, where services will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m. Interment Mount Emblem. Austin 2012.

Henry A Hautau's IL Death record says he born on 2 Jan 1877 in Chicago and died 17 Oct 1947, also in Chicago. He was the son of Henry Hautau, born in Hanover, Germany and Emma Stephani, born in Chicago. He was a lawyer, and husband of Mirriam. She was also the informant. He was buried at Mr. Emblem in Elmhurst, IL on 21 Oct 1947.

7 Jun 1957, Mary Beatrice Horn, married, 75, born 30 Sep 1881 in Chicago and died 7 Jun 1957. She was the daughter of Henry "Alfred" Hautau and Emma Stephani. The informant was Inga H Barnes. Both Mary and Inga, resided at 5528 W Berteau (FS).
