EAST LIVERPOOL Lila Jean Davis Veglia, 75, of Wooster Avenue died at 9:07 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at City Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born May 17, 1934, in East Liver-pool, a daughter of the late George and Anna Davis, she was a lifetime area resident.

A member of the United Brethren in Christ Church, she retired in 1992 from the Hall China Co. after 22 years.

Surviving are six daughters, Darlene Bittinger at home; Diane Stadnik of Weirton; Dawn Smith of Lisbon; Deborah Cramer, Doris Davis, and DeAnna Danver, all of East Liverpool; and two sons, Bernard "Bud" Veglia of Salem, and Bryan Veglia of East Liverpool.

There are 28 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.

Pastor Joseph Cilone of the church will conduct a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.

Immediately following the service, family and friends will gather at the church.
