TRAGIC DEATH
Wm. Green, an old gentleman living near Osage was gored and trampled to death by an infuriated bull last Friday when he went into the pasture after the cows. The bull was known to be ugly and Mr. Green had taken a pitchfork with him but it seems was not strong enough to drive the animal off. The wife becoming worried at his long absence took the shotgun and entered the pasture where she found Mr. Green's body but being unable to remove it she went to the road and stopped a passing car. The occupants thinking the woman deranged took the gun away from her and drove to Osage. In the meantime Mrs. Green got in touch with friends at Osage and the matter explained which resulted in the parties who had taken the gun returning and assisting in the removal of the body.
