OBITUARY
Henderson Gibson for 25 years a resident of this city, died at the home of his daughter at Plymouth, Ind., 29 miles south of Richmond, Tuesday night following an exteded illness of a complication of disease.
Mr. Gibson was born in Kentucky in 1841, and was at the time of his demise nearly 75 years of age. About a quarter of a century ago he came to this city and until three years ago he made his home here. The deceased married Miss Nellie Gibson in 1860, but his wife preceded him to the grave in 1908. At the outbreak of the civil war Mr. Gibson answered the call of his country and served several years in the strife. During his residence in this city because of his strong characteristics, he made many friends all of whom now lament his departure from this world.
Mr. Gibson is survived by his sons, James Gibson and Charles Gibson of this city, William and Samuel Gibson whose whereabouts are unknown, Hamilton Gibson of Plymouth, and Dennis Gibson of Richmond; two daughters, Mrs. Tell Eckman of Plymouth, and Mrs. Cora Leischner of Richmond; two brothers and several other relatives.
The body will be brought to this city Thursday afternoon and will be taken to the home of James Gibson, 357 west Maple street. The funeral will be held from the Wesleyan M. F. church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. Louis Burns of Warren, Ind. Burial will be made in Falls Cemetery.
