Springfield's oldest barber, William Florville, negro, 1201 East Adams street, died at the family residence at 6:30 o'clock Tuesday evening, following an illness of five years. Mr. Florville, familiarly known as "Billie", was 81 years of age and is said to have shaved Abraham Lincoln on many occasions. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Florville, three daughters, Mrs. Amos Duncan, Mrs. Irene Hennington and Mrs. Euretta Croker; two sons, Oakland L. and William, jr., and six grandchildren.
