Betty is my grandaunt

Betty M. Enderud, 83, a resident of Port Orchard, died of natural causes at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard. She was born September 14, 1925 to Walter and Grace Baber in Arkansas City, Kansas where she later graduated from Ark City high school. She married Bill Enderud on July 7, 1942. They were together until his passing in 2003.

During their 60 years of marriage, she was a devoted wife to a career US Army Chief Warrant Officer for 27 years taking care of the home and family while he served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. She was a protestant and enjoyed watching game shows from the '80's, playing bingo, feeding her dog by hand, crocheting and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by sons Curtis Enderud (Liz) of Anchorage, AK, Michael Enderud, and Don Enderud (Janet) of Everett, Jimmy Enderud (Carol) of Port Orchard; daughter Katherine Bailey (Warren) of Anchorage, AK; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Committal service will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 2:15 pm and is under the direction of Rill's Life Tribute Center of Port Orchard.
