GALESBURG -- Wayne Briggs, 58, of 116 Kimberly Terrace died at 5:44 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 1994, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born April 16, 1936, in Galesburg to Clarence A. and Georgia Cooksey Briggs.
Surviving are one sister, Doris M. Thompson of Galesburg; seven nieces; and 14 nephews. Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
He worked for the former city of Galesburg Sanitation Department for 10 years and last worked at KCCD in Galesburg.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Maquon Cemetery in Maquon. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Maquon.
