A newspaper article regarding a Rose Hill School reunion, where the Markle children attended school, in 1946 stated: "Harry the oldest son, a retired carpenter of the Holly Sugar Co., Stockton, Calif." Rose Hill School was in Webber, Jewell County, KS

Harry and Ada are buried together in Park View Cemetery. Ada has a cement marker but Harry doesn't have any stone at all. Harry's dates were confirmed with the cemetery records.
