Rev. Dr. Oscar Allen Houghton was the son of Rev. Royal Houghton and Cecelia Beverly (Sterns) Horr Houghton. Susan (Ayres) Houghton was his 1st wife. They were married September 1, 1869. Susan died December 9, 1900. Ida Arabella (Gilbert) Delamater Houghton was his 2nd wife. Ida died January 1, 1916. Rev. Houghton was a minister in the Central New York Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died of angina pectoris/arterio sclerotic heart diesease. His death certificate was signed by Dr. C. M. Pratt.
