Carl Zulauf Dies Tuesday

Funeral services are pending at the Wells Funeral home in Deadwood for Carl Zulauf, 41, who died early Tuesday morning at his home in Deadwood.

He was born Oct. 4, 1930 at Bison, the son of Alexander and Ann Zulauf.
He attended schools at Bison and Isabel.

He began work with the Homestake Mining Company at Lead in November 1949 and continued until March of 1950 when he went into farming. He joined the armed services in 1951 and in 1953, after his discharge, he again was employed by the mining company, where he was working at the time of his death.

On Oct. 27, 1956 he was married to the former Janet Morrish, Lead, at St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge of Lead.

Survivors in addition to his widow, are three sons; a daughter; his mother; a brother; and six sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1941 and two sisters.
