William F. Heinrich, 81, lifelong resident of West Cohasset, died Thursday, May 10, 2007. Bill was born in Grand Rapids to Fred and Gladys Heinrich. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He farmed in West Cohasset and worked for Itasca County Road and Bridge. He married Bernice on April 5, 1947.
Bill was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cohasset, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved farming, and fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Jerry Heinrich and Keith Heinrich.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bernice; three children, Richard Heinrich, and Jeff (Jackie) Heinrich, all of Cohasset, and Barbara (Brian) Stevens, of Fairbanks, Alaska; grandchildren, Andrea, Alicia, Zachery, Jon, Kris, Jen, Dara, Erika, and Jayme; great-grandchildren, Braden, Tyler, and Ella; and one sister, Thelma Harthan of West Cohasset.
Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, May 13 in the Libbey Funeral Home in Grand Rapids. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 14 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cohasset. Burial with military honors will be at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids.
