On May 18, 1804 Napoleon created her 'Princesse de France', on December 2, 1852 Napoleon III gave her the title 'Princesse Bonaparte'.

The Church Santa Maria in Via Lata, where she was buried, is on the Via del Corso, nowadays the artery of the Eternal City. The bust on her grave was made by the famous sculptor Pietro Tenerani (1789-1869).
