Jessica Lynn Holzkamp, 17, of Hampshire, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009 from complications due to pneumonia She fought a courageous five year battle and will now be held in God's hand to finish her dreams in health and happiness. She was born October 20, 1991 in Arlington Heights to Michael and Jeanne Holzkamp. She attended Hampshire schools until the 8th grade when she became home bound due to her illness and then was home schooled. She made the honor roll on several occasions and was still working toward her high school diploma. She loved all animals, especially horses, her dog, Chesney; and her best friend, Ashley's dog, Twister. Jessica was also a talented artist and loved to draw horses and landscapes. She will be dearly missed and can never know the loss her family feels. Surviving are her dad, Michael Holzkamp; her mom, Jeanne Holzkamp Hannestad Maki (nee Jarvis), her step-dad, Roy Maki; her sister, Kellye Hannestad; brothers, Andrew Holzkamp and Bradford Maki; grandparents, Donald and Nancy Holzkamp, Jerry (Judy) Jarvis and Rosellen Jarvis; aunts and uncles, Jerry (Cynthia) Jarvis, Jill (Mike) Kendal, Jacki, Michael, Susan and Joseph Jarvis, Ruth (Todd) Maberry, Victoria Jarrett, Karen Holzkamp and Robin (Steven) Sullivan; many cousins, friends, relatives, doctors, nurses and an entire community. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson St., Hampshire with Fr. Joseph Nicolosi officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park Street, Hampshire. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Holzkamp Benefit Fund, c/o Old Second Bank of Citizen's Bank both in Hampshire. Information call 847-683-2711
