She was the wife of Leo Blume and Mother to David Blume the Jazz Musician, Entrepreneur and Journalist. She passed away in Los Angeles from complications of a stroke, where she lived with her son and his wife Carolyn Hester Blume (the Folk Singer known as Carolyn Hester.)
