Professional Football Player. For five seasons (1950 to 1954), he played at the quarterback position in the National Football League with the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cardinals. He attended Millville High School and played collegiate football at Villanova University prior to being selected by the Bears during the 3rd round of the 1950 NFL Draft. During World War II, he served with the United States Army. He appeared in 38 career games as a backup to quarterbacks Johnny Lujack, Bob Williams, George Blanda and Lamar McHan, passing for 2,556 yards with 13 touchdowns. Following his football career, Romanik served as Millville City Commissioner and Director of Parks and Public Property from 1965 until 1981.
