Thomas and Victorine and their children lived in the country in a place called Tepetate where Continential Oil Company had a refinery . Tepetate is south of Basile .

Funeral services for Thomas LeJeune, age 83, of the Tepetate area south of Basile, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday Feb 4, at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Burial was at the St. Francis Cemetery in Iota, Louisiana
( now called St Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery) , under the direction of Ardoin's Funeral Home.

Mr. LeJeune died at his home at 4 p.m. Friday February 2, following a lengthly illness . He was born in April 1884 and was a retired farmer. A funeral mass was said by Rev. I.C. Speyrer at St Augustine Catholic Church 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5 .

Mr LeJeune is survived by three sons; Caffery J. LeJeune of Eunice, Kermit LeJeune of Iota, Bryan D. LeJeune of Lafayette; four daughters Mrs Roman Klumpp of Basile( T - Mamou ) , Mrs. Raymond Bergeron of Basile
( Tepetate ) Mrs Allie Bergeaux of Basile ( T- Mamou, and Mrs. Ivan LeJeune of Iota; 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
